Pink Door Express Nail Application Instructions

 Nail Application Instructions

1. Using the enclosed file, shape your natural nail.
2. Gently push back your cuticles using the orange wood stick/cuticle pusher.
3. Lightly remove the shine from your nail, paying attention to the cuticle and sides.
4. Choose the nails that are the correct sizes to fit your fingers - when in doubt, choose a
size larger rather than smaller. Choosing a smaller size will ultimately stretch the tip
and can lead to cracking.
5. Lay the tips out in the order they will go on your fingers for easier application.
6. After choosing the tips, use the alcohol wipe to remove all of the oils and debris from
your natural nail, paying special attention to the cuticle and sides.
7. If you are using the enclosed sticky tabs, choose the tab that best fits your finger. Pull
off the small backing and line the tab up with the cuticle. Rub the tab well, making
sure the tab is firmly adhered to the nail. Remove the plastic backing and attach the
nail. Hold the nail firmly for a count of 10.
8. Repeat with the remaining nails.
9. If you are using nail glue - using the glue of your choice, apply a small amount of glue
to the nail tip, and your natural nail then apply the tip to your finger, holding the tip tight for several seconds until it is stuck tight.
10. Repeat with the remaining nails.

Express Toenail Application Instructions

1. Using the enclosed file, shape your natural nail.
2. Gently push back your cuticles using the orange wood stick/cuticle pusher.
3. Lightly remove the shine from your nail, paying attention to the cuticle and sides.
4. Choose the nails that are the correct sizes to fit your toes - hold the tips by the “easy
hold tabs” to make it aid in tip sizing and application
5. Lay the tips out in the order they will go on your toes for easier application.
6. After choosing the tips, use the alcohol wipe to remove all of the oils and debris from
your natural nail, paying special attention to the cuticle and sides.
7. Apply a small amount of glue to the nail tip and the natural nail and then
apply the tip to your toe, holding the tip tight for several seconds until it is stuck tight.
8. Repeat with the remaining nails.
9. After the tips are stuck to the toes, using nail clippers, clip off the “easy hold tabs” and
use the nail file to smooth the end of the tip as necessary. “Easy Hold Tabs” may also
simply break off once the tip is secured tight and clippers may not be necessary.

Express Nail/Toenail Removal Instructions

1. Soak your nails/toes in a bowl of warm soapy water for 15-20 minutes.
2. After soaking, the glue/sticky tabs will soften and the nails will lift off. If the
nails don’t lift off easily continue soaking in the water. Do not pick or pry
the nails off, as this will cause damage.
3. Gently use the cuticle pusher/orange wood stick to remove any remaining glue
from your nails, being careful not to scrape and damage your natural nails.
4. If you are going to apply a new set of Pink Door Express nails you will simply
start over with application step #1.
5. If you are not going to apply a new set of nails at this time you can lightly buff
your nails using the pink buffing block.

If you do not want to save your nails for future use, you can soak your nails/toes in a bowl of full strength acetone (nail polish remover does not work very well), in place of soaking in warm soapy water.  Proceed with steps 2-5.

Prep Kit Instructions

1. After cleansing either your fingernail or toenail, right before you begin to glue on the nails, you will brush on a coat of the nail dehydrator. Let it dry. Typically your nail will turn a bit of a chalky white color.
2. Apply a coat of primer. This does not need to be a heavy coat, and you will want to keep the product off of the cuticle and sides of the nail (not touching the skin). Let it set/dry for 30 seconds or so and then proceed with the application, either gluing the nails on, OR using the sticky tabs.

Helpful Tips

1. Because glue is water soluble, the more time you spend in water, the more fragile your nails will be. It
is recommended that you wear gloves when doing dishes/cleaning etc.
2. You can use the enclosed file to file a larger tip a bit smaller, if desired, to make it fit the sides of the nails better.
3. After the nails have been adhered and the glue is set, you can use nail clippers to shorten the nails and make them the desired length. Use the enclosed file to shape the free edge into the desired shape.
4. Your nails should be treated like jewels and not tools! Treat them kindly for the longest wear time.
5. Keep an emergency kit in your purse with your nail file/extra sticky tabs/glue that way if you
“lose” a nail you can put it back on right away.
6. Proper removal is key to keeping your natural nails healthy. Picking or biting your nails off is terribly
damaging to your natural nails and is never recommended.
7. For longer adhesion, purchase the “Prep Kit” prior to application.
8. Purchase an inexpensive electric file to file away the glue from the backside of the tips to reapply.
9. When applying the nails, to achieve the longest wear time, pressure is key when gluing them on. You will want to use a LOT of pressure to really ensure full contact with the tip and the natural nail. - Making sure there are no air pockets underneath the tip that can loosen and cause the tip to pop off. Also, hold that pressure for a few seconds longer than you think you need to, to really make sure the glue is dry before you let go - this will also make sure that the tip does not loosen at all as the glue is drying.
10. Some people have good luck using BOTH the sticky tabs and glue simultaneously, giving them extra wear time. This application technique also requires a LOT of pressure in the application process to make sure there are no gaps around the edges caused by the sticky tabs.
